The G-ASSISTANT is a compact emergency call device for seniors, children, people with dementia, people who work alone, joggers, and anyone who wants to get help quickly in an emergency—at home or on the go. The device works completely self-sufficient with your own nano-SIM card. You don't need a subscription, an app, a manufacturer account, or an emergency call center. All emergency call and alarm features are permanently enabled.

The project is being developed and managed by the G-ASSISTANT from the G-TELWARE GmbH in Sankt Augustin – with its own firmware, its own app for iOS and Android, its own web portal, and personalized support directly from the manufacturer.

Emergency Call Chain: One push of a button—up to 10 phone numbers

In an emergency, press the large SOS button 3–4 seconds Press and hold until you hear the voice prompt. This starts the alarm chain:

1. Text message to everyone: All emergency contacts on file will immediately receive a text message with a Google Maps link to the current location.
2. Call chain: The tracker then calls the contacts one after another. You can set the order and number of cycles yourself.
3. Mailbox Protection: A call that goes to voicemail is not considered answered. The sequence only ends when the person being called presses “1” during the call—otherwise, the system automatically calls the next contact.
4. Speaking: You can speak directly with the person you're calling through the speaker and microphone.

Between calls, there is time to cancel an accidentally triggered alarm using the SOS button. Not all ten numbers need to be assigned—at least one number is sufficient.

Your own emergency contact chain: Save the contact information for family members, neighbors, home care providers, or official emergency services—even if the numbers include international codes (e.g., +49 and +41). You won’t have to rely on a paid emergency call center.

Note regarding official emergency numbers (e.g., 112, 110): These numbers do not accept text messages. To make an emergency call, dial the number and provide your location during the call. We recommend saving official emergency numbers as the last entries in your contact list, after your personal contacts.

Callbacks and Telephony

• Saved contacts can be used to G-ASSISTANT Call at any time and talk to the wearer using the speaker and microphone.

• Incoming calls can be forwarded to Restrict authorized numbers.

Right on target—even indoors

Many emergency devices lose their GPS signal inside buildings and then only transmit the Cell Site Location (LBS). The discrepancy is often several hundred meters; in rural areas, it can even be kilometers. In an emergency, no one will know which house or room needs help.

The G-ASSISTANT continues:

• GPS + AGPS (u-blox): Network-assisted GPS provides faster and more accurate positioning—both outdoors and in many buildings.
• Wi-Fi location tracking with fixed coordinates: You can save known Wi-Fi networks—for example, at home, in a nursing home, or at a relative’s house—and assign them exact coordinates. When the tracker detects one of these Wi-Fi networks, it reports that exact location. This is even more accurate than GPS.
• GPS can be turned off: If you do not want your location tracked, you can disable GPS completely.

Automatic Alarms – Help, Even When No One Can Press the Button

Important: Since a fall may go undetected in rare cases, you should also press the SOS button in an emergency.

Compatible SIM card

• Format: Nano-SIM (not included)
• Rate: A prepaid plan is suitable—you'll need voice calls and text messages. Mobile data is only required for the app/portal.
• Web: In our experience, the Telekom network (D1) generally offers the best coverage.
• Important: The SIM card's PIN prompt must be disabled. You can do this in advance using any cell phone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the G-ASSISTANT Really, no subscription required?
Yes. Emergency calls, the emergency call chain, all alerts, location tracking via text message, and configuration via the app work continuously without a subscription. You only need a subscription for live tracking, movement history, and push and email alerts in the app and web portal.

Can I set the emergency numbers myself?
Yes. You can select up to 10 phone numbers and specify their order—including personal contacts, home care services, or official emergency services, as well as international numbers.

What happens if a contact can't be reached or their voicemail picks up?
The tracker will then automatically call the next contact. Thanks to the voicemail protection feature, the chain does not end until a contact presses “1” to confirm.

Is my location data stored?
No data is transmitted to our platform without using the app or web portal. Your location is sent directly from the device to your contacts via text message. You can also turn off GPS completely.

Will the device still work after the 2G shutdown?
The 4G models support voice calls via VoLTE.
